Dr. Aboulhosn is a serial entrepreneur with a proven track record. From 1982 to 1992, he started as an R&D Engineer in Nimbus Inc. and was promoted to GM after the J&J acquisition, where he worked on the initial conceptualization of the Hemopump (first catheter LVAD) through its commercialization in Europe. Between 1992 and 1994, he was employed by top startup companies such as Heartport Inc. and Heart Technology Inc. In 1995, he formed his first medical startup company, New Silicone. In 1996, he formed his second medical startup company, A-Med Systems Inc., followed in 2000 by forming New Horizon www.newhorizonsal.com. New Horizon is still operating and focused on servicing US-based startups in Europe. In 2022, he co-founded Bi-Oxy Inc. www.Bi-oxy.com and IGNOSI www.ignosi.tech. Dr. Aboulhosn has completed an MD from AUB and UMDNJ, his master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from California State University, Sacramento, and his MBA from UC Irvine.
